![]() They are analyzing the SOUND of your exhaled breath - that is the whole point. " you are completely wrong and I suspect that you either did not read the linked paper or did not understand it. It is measuring it and turning that measurement into data to be processed by the phone. ![]() The device is not listening to your breath sounds. When you say, " All of the measurement is being done by the device you see the person blowing into. It is why I mentioned it as a second example of a microphone being used to measure another bio-process The second application paper that I linked to also uses acoustics from your breath picked up by the microphone. The first one that I linked to represents detecting a heart rate based on acoustic information - exactly what the OP wants to do. GPS logger about the same I think.Click to expand. Both links are applications that depend on acoustic input to the microphone. (Good for vlogging,) Excellent camera, sharp video, effective EIS, nice colours, well worth a look and could be fun if you want to play with picture in picture video (you'd need to do that in editing.) Price is just over the £100 at the moment. There's an optional bluetooth wrist remote and optional external microphone as well. And you can export the GPS data from the camera in GPX, KML format etc. Optional GPS logger gives you the chance to view a flight or ride in Google Earth, Google maps etc. This camera, G3 Duo has an optional slave camera that gives you a possibility of recording two separate video streams simultaneously and some creative opportunities in editing. It's a good company, firmware updates and support, quality cameras and fair price. This one is touch screen, dead easy to use, records 1080 60 fps, or two 1080 30 fps video streams. GitUp made the Git2 camera which was a good EIS stabilised action camera. But jump straight to the test clips at 16m 53s and ignore all that if you want. It's a long video as there's a slave camera and GPS logger looked at too. Posted: Fri 12:02 UTC Post subject: RE: New GitUp G3 Duo a camera with optional slave camera G3 is £102 on the Banggood link and the slave is £40. I tested the external mike by motorcycle vlogging, but it'd be equally good for PG vloggers (Tim Pentreath ? ) paramotorists etc. switch between videos when you make a video. 2 streams of video does mean you can show two different views though. (You can see the PIP view on the camera screen.) But as far as I know you have to do it in edit. I've asked GitUp if they have plans for an app that will combine the streams into PIP (picture in picture) as in my video. Below you, or on a selfie (I hate the word) telescopic extension out front, or behind, whatever! The slave is on a 3m long lead so there's potential to mount that camera above you in the risers. There's a split screen motorbike clip in my test (I did split screen views in my edit) but I think there are some creative opportunities for PG video makers here. ![]() It records 1080 60fps single video, but in 1080 30 fps when 2 cameras are connected. The Duo can record two video streams at the same time when the optional slave camera is connected. (It also has an optional GPS logger.) My full test with lots of clips will be out in a few days. I just made a quick preview video test of the new GitUp G3 duo, with the optional slave camera and external mike.
